Wednesday 10th May, 6.30pm in the Derby Room, Leigh Library.

• The Leigh Sports Village is one of the most exciting developments to take place in Leigh for many years. The Village is a key element in a scheme to reinvigorate the “Green Heart” of Wigan Borough.
   
• The partners in the scheme have been working to create a place of which the people of the surrounding area can be justifiably proud, but which will be useful, stimulating, and a pleasant place to be.
   
• Arts as well as sports… The Leigh Sports Village is for the whole community, and we hope it will be a place where creative activities of all kinds can take place.
   
• Right now, the arts can help to develop an environment in which people feel comfortable. We want to create a place in which people are happy to spend some time, a place with a welcoming ambience.
