Wigan and Leigh Hospice our Charity of the Year
 

Leigh Sports Village Conference and Events Team are proud to be supporting the Wigan and Leigh Hospice as their Charity of the Year.

Lianne Johnston, Sales Manager of the team said, “We are all very excited for the coming year with the opening of the new stadium and are delighted to be supporting Wigan and Leigh Hospice as our chosen charity for the first year. We hope that the year will present itself with some fantastic opportunities for the charity.

In May 2008, I visited Edwin Matthews at the hospice to learn more about the charity and how they work within the local community and to see how, as a team, we can support them throughout the year.

The partnership between ourselves and Wigan and Leigh Hospice will not only help provide a forum to raise the profile of the charity, but will also offer modern facilities from where we can host events”.

Hospice Communications Officer, Edwin Matthews said, “We are delighted to have been chosen to be part of this exciting new venture and if you are planning any fundraising events for the Hospice, why not look at the possibilities offered at the stadium?”
