Supporters attending Saturday’s Million Pound Game at Leigh Sports Village between Leigh Centurions and Catalans Dragons are reminded that there will continue to be extra security measures as they enter the stadium on match day.

Leigh Sports Village Co continues to consult with local authorities, including Greater Manchester Police, with public safety at all events and match days of utmost priority. There will continue to be an increased level of security checks and searches prior to entering the stadium which will include both personal and bag searches and we would ask that all supporters arrive and enter the stadium as early as possible on Saturday.

Searching is conducted under the authority of the Leigh Sports Village Ground Regulations and will apply to staff, partners, visitors and spectators.  Any refusal will result in non-admittance into the stadium.

We would advise all fans that bring bags to matches to review the size of the bag and its contents to prevent delays at turnstiles. For security reasons items will not be able to be stored for supporters during the game.

Items not permitted to be brought into the stadium include: golfing umbrellas, knives, fireworks, smoke canisters, air-horns, flares, weapons, dangerous or hazardous items, laser devices, bottles, glass vessels, cans, poles and any article that might be used as a weapon and/or compromise public safety. Any person in possession of such items will be refused entry to the ground.

Please note that no food and drink is to be brought into the stadium. If you have any specific dietary or medical requirements please speak to a steward prior to entry.

Please be advised that Saturday’s match against Catalans Dragons is a 3pm kick-off, with turnstiles open from 2pm.

To avoid congestion at the Ticket Office in the immediate period leading to kick off, supporters are strongly advised to purchase and collect their tickets in advance of match day where possible.

With limited parking at the stadium traffic congestion is expected around the stadium and supporters are advised to plan and allow extra time in their journey.

We would like to kindly remind all supporters that, in line with government legislation, smoking is not permitted anywhere within the stadium and this also includes the use of e-cigarettes.

Supporters should be vigilant and report any concerns with abusive language or poor behaviour to the nearest steward or use our confidential text line on 07432 473183.

Leigh Sports Village Co and Leigh Centurions would like to thank our supporters for their help and co-operation for making Leigh Sports Village a safe and enjoyable environment for all.
