2. What happens at Leigh Sports Village?

Leigh Sports Village has at its heart a 12,000 capacity stadium, home to Leigh Leopards, Manchester United Women and Manchester United U23s and U19s. The stadium is also a vibrant conference, events and wedding venue. On site, there are also artificial pitches to hire at Leigh Sports Village Arena, Leigh Harriers Athletics track and stadium, Leigh Indoor Sports Centre, Wigan and Leigh College, Holiday Inn Express, Morrisons supermarket and the Whistling Wren pub.

3. What are your opening times?

The reception is open from 7am to 7pm Monday to Friday and from 11am on Sunday matchdays.
The box office is open Mon-Friday 9am-5pm, Sat 9am-12pm and on matchdays. Tickets can be purchased online 24 hours a day at www.leightickets.co.uk

7. Is there disabled access at Leigh Sports Village?

Yes, we have full disabled access and parking. Please call 01942 487 830 to discuss access arrangements for events in the stadium. Disabled parking is available on a first come, first served basis to blue badge holders with no advance bookings for these bays.

Tickets and matches

1. How do I sign up for free football?

Visit our ticket website at www.leightickets.co.uk and claim your required number of tickets in your preferred seating area. This must be done before matchday with no tickets available on the day.

2. Do I need to print out any confirmation for the free football?

When you visit our ticket website at www.leightickets.co.uk, you will need to select your required number of tickets in your preferred seating area. You will then receive your tickets by e-mail that will either need to be printed off ahead of attending the game or alternatively scanned on the turnstiles using a compatible mobile device. You will receive one QR code per ticket that each need to be scanned at the turnstiles. Please note that all tickets must be claimed in advance with no tickets available on matchday.

3. What can I bring into the ground on matchday?

No food and drink is allowed to be brought in to the stadium. Concourse kiosks open an hour before kick off and offer a range of hot and cold food and beverages with cash and card payments both accepted.

The following articles must also not be brought within the ground: golfing umbrellas, knives, fireworks, smoke canisters, air-horns, flares, weapons, dangerous or hazardous items, laser devices, bottles, glass vessels, cans, poles and any article that might be used as a weapon and/or compromise public safety. Flags are only permitted with a fire safety certificate. Any person in possession of such items will be refused entry to the ground.

4. Is smoking allowed? Are e-cigarettes prohibited?

No, smoking and e-cigarettes are both prohibited at Leigh Sports Village. During events at the stadium, we do not permit people to temporarily leave the stadium to smoke.
