Leigh Sports Village is delighted to have a Super League club at a Super League stadium after Leigh Centurions’ incredible 2016 season meant the rugby league side who call LSV home secured promotion to the sport’s top flight in 2017.

Centurions will welcome some of the biggest names in the sport in 2017 as Neil Jukes’ side pit their wits against the cream of rugby league. Leeds Rhinos were first up in February, and the first home victory came against St Helens a week later.

In March, more wins came against Huddersfield Giants and Warrington Wolves, and April saw hard fought fixtures against Widnes Vikings, Catalans Dragons and Hull FC.

Wakefield Trinity and Castleford Tigers brought their exciting brand of rugby to Leigh Sports Village in May, while the derby with Wigan on June 8 saw a spectacular and historic victory for Centurions.

Salford Red Devils (Jul 21) are the last visitors in the regular season.
