LEIGH Sports Village are pleased to announce that Blackburn Rovers will continue to play their Barclays Premier Reserve League North fixtures at the stadium.
LSV Co have reached an agreement with their counterparts at Ewood Park for the 2010-2011 campaign after enjoying a hugely successful first season.
Simon Toon, chief executive at LSV said: “When we agreed the partnership with Rovers 12 months ago one of our main aims was to extend our links with the local community and I must say that it has turned out better than we even hoped.
“”Attendances have risen as high as 3,000 with local people, especially youngsters, turning out in force to watch Premier League players in action, and we now hope to extend the community programme into schools for next year.”
Blackburn football secretary, Andrew Pincher, added: “The arrangement has worked really well and the facility has earned rave reviews not only from our officials and players but from visiting clubs too.”
