Leigh Centurions Rugby League Club
Established in 1895, Leigh Centurions is one of the founding rugby league clubs. The club is based at the Sports Village and plays its home matches in the stadium. Centurions have a rich history, achieving a number of honours, including winning two Challenge Cups and are current holders of the Northern Rail Cup.

Leigh Harriers Amateur Athletics Club, formed in 1909, has over 100 years of history. The club is based at the athletics stadium and provides athletics for all levels of the community. The club achieved Community Amateur Sports Club status in 2006 and has over 20 highly qualified coaches which have trained athletes who have represented the club at regional, national and international level.

Leigh Sports Trust
Leigh Sports Trust is a community group which creates activities that focus on getting the young and old active. The trust had a major input into the design and use of Leigh Sports Village.
 

Swinton Lions RLFC

Swinton Lions RFLC was formed in October 1866 and despite being based in the Salford area, play all their home matches at Leigh Sports Village . The club has won the Championship six times and three Challenge Cups. The club was formed when members of Swinton Cricket Club decided to take up football in the winter and then in 1871 they joined the Rugby Football Union.
