World Cup Themed Football Tournament
Leigh Sports Hub are hosting their very own 6-a-side men’s football tournament (ages 16+) on Saturday 4th July 2026, in which each team will be guaranteed 3 matches, with the top teams progressing through to the playoff rounds. These exciting knockout stages will determine the overall tournament champions. The cost to enter a team into the tournament is £70 and the winner will be awarded with a cash prize of £500 to take home.
The tournament is open to all abilities. Whether you play regularly or are simply looking to get a team together for a one off, you’ll find a friendly and welcoming environment. It’s competitive, but the focus is on enjoying the game and taking part at your own pace.

Youth Football Tournaments
Leigh Sports Hub are proud to have hosted yet another successful Winter Grassroots Football Tournament for junior players, building on the fantastic response we’ve had in previous years. The event continues to grow, attracting young footballers, families and grassroots clubs from across the region. The 2025 festive football celebration delivered exactly what it promised, a full day of energy, teamwork and unforgettable moments. Designed as a one‑day junior football tournament, it brought together a wide range of grassroots teams in a fun and professionally organised environment. From the first kick to the final whistle, the atmosphere was buzzing with excitement and community spirit.
A huge well done to Bolton Lads and Girls Club Under 8’s team, who secured a brilliant win in the final against East Leigh Lions. Their number 72 also earned the Man of the Match title for an outstanding performance. Congratulations to all teams who took part, the level of talent, effort and sportsmanship on display was exceptional. Think your team could be lifting the trophy next year? We’re already preparing for our 2026 junior grassroots football tournaments for Under 8’s, Under 10’s and Under 12’s teams and we’d love to welcome even more clubs to take part. All of the matches take place on our fantastic 3G pitch facilities, which meet standards set by FIFA, the International Rugby Board, and the RFL.
