Our commitment is to create an inclusive, accessible and safe environment across all our sports, events, health and educational programmes. We strive to ensure that everyone feels welcome, supported and empowered to participate fully.
To help you plan your visit, we’ve provided a list of reasonable adjustments that may support your experience at Leigh Sports Village.
Our Policies:
We are proud promoters of the Tackle It and Kick It Out initiatives, for both rugby league and football matches, to promote a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all. At Leigh Sports Village, we stand united against discrimination because hate has no place here.
Stadium Facilities and Access:

Ambulant or supporters with accessibility needs can request to sit within other areas of the stadium subject to availability. Our wheelchair friendly spaces are located in the following areas:
- North Stand – Pitch side
- South Stand – Pitch side
- West Stand – Pitch side and platform on the second floor, accessible via the lift at each end of the stand
- East Stand– Pitch side and platform, accessible via the lifts in the concourse
There is also room for up to two personal assistants to accompany each wheelchair user.
For matchday hospitality guests, every executive pitch side box can accommodate 1 wheelchair user and 1 personal assistant within the capacity of each box.
Toilets:
Each stand has accessible toilets within, all of which are gender neutral. These facilities are designed to accommodate a wide range of access needs, ensuring comfort, dignity, and privacy for all visitors, regardless of gender identity or mobility requirements. We also have baby changing facilities in each of these spaces.
Changing Places Facilities:
We have two changing places facilities open to the public to utilise on their visit to LSV, one of which is located in Leigh Leisure Centre next door to the stadium, and the other in the Visitors Centre of Pennington Flash, just a short walk/ drive away from our site. Catering Facilities:
We have a dedicated lower counter service point at each public catering kiosk in all concourses, designed to improve accessibility for wheelchair users and others who may benefit from a reduced-height service point. We have a variety of food and drink on sale for our supporters, including for those who identify as vegetarian and/ or vegan. To assist fans, we also have visual versions of our menus. Please note we are a cashless stadium.

Car Parking Facilities:
Alongside over 1,000 free car parking spaces on the LSV Site, accessible car parking spaces are available for fans who are registered as a supporter who require access support with both clubs. Due to limited availability, spaces cannot be guaranteed. The dimensions of the Blue Badge parking bay(s) are 228cm x 470cm (7ft 6in x 15ft 5in). Please note that the car parks does have a height restriction barrier with a maximum height of 240cm (7ft 10in).
Accessibility Car Park Registration:
You can now register your interest for an accessible car parking bay at the start of every season. You can do this by emailing: LSVaccessibility@wigan.gov.uk you will then be able to participate in the complimentary ballot application. After this, you will be entered into a ballot for a car park space for all home games and all cup games you purchase for the season. If you are successful, our Accessibility Team will contact you before the season starts and issue you with a pass. For away supporters, please contact us with your request.
Ticketing Information:
We have a dedicated wheelchair service point at the Ticket Office, located on the West Stand of the Stadium. This has been designed to improve accessibility for wheelchair users and others who may benefit from a reduced-height service point.
How to apply for the accessible concessionary rate:
Supporters with accessibility requirements must register their needs with Manchester Utd or Leigh Leopards in order to purchase tickets at the accessible concessionary rate. To register as a supporter with accessibility needs with us, you must submit one of the following documents via email to: LSVaccessibility@wigan.gov.uk for Leigh Leopards, and for Manchester United please visit: Log-in | MANCHESTER UNITED
- A letter from the Department of Works and Pensions confirming your entitlement to the higher or middle rate mobility/care component of Disability Living Allowance.
- A letter from your GP confirming the nature of your needs
- A letter confirming you receive Enhanced rate of Personal Independent Payment (PIP)
- BD8 Certificate (Visually Impaired supporters only)
AND
- Photographic ID (i.e. Passport or Drivers License showing your date of birth)
All ticket sales for those with accessibility needs take place in conjunction with general access supporter ticket sales.
Bringing Medication:
If you are bringing medication to a match, please contact: LSVaccessibility@wigan.gov.uk at least 48 hours before the match so the team can advise.
Neurodivergent Supporters:
We are proud to operate the Sunflower Lanyard scheme, in which neurodivergent supporters can collect a sunflower lanyard from the ticket office on their arrival to a match, which can be shown to our stewards for access to the stadium bowl without any queuing, in attempt to reduce the wait time and pressure on our neurodivergent supporters.
We do have a limited number of ear defenders available to collect from the ticket office on a matchday, to support visitors who may be sensitive to noise, including those with sensory processing needs. Please return any ear defenders which you have borrowed back to the Reception area on the ground floor of the West Stand upon exiting the stadium.
