The 2022 season was a true record breaker for our home rugby league club, finishing top of the Betfred Championship to claim the League Leaders Shield to go alongside the AB Sundecks 1895 Cup that was won earlier in the season and then topping it off with victory over Batley Bulldogs in the Grand Final to earn promotion to Super League for 2023. October 2022 saw the club re-brand from Leigh Centurions to Leigh Leopards.
