Based on the Leigh Sports Village site, Leigh Sports Hub is an outdoor sports complex located near Ledgard Avenue, with ten top quality pitches (9x 3G pitches and a grass pitch) that can be adapted for full size or six-a-side games. These pitches meet all the standards set by FIFA, the International Rugby Board, and the RFL, with cutting edge artificial turf technology, offering you the chance to play on the same surfaces as the professionals. We have a range of pitches that can be hired to accommodate training sessions, matches and larger tournaments, with configurations being adapted to individual sports needs.

We host the weekly training sessions of professional sports teams such as Leigh Leopards, including the first team, academy and scholars, whilst also hosting the weekly training sessions of women’s football pathway organisations such as Ella Toone Academy (ET7) and Team Elite Football Academy. We are proud to be the home of Leigh East ARFLC, a local grassroots rugby league club with a rich history in our town. With teams at every age group from U7’s to Open Age and even Masters divisions, the club has over 200 members that attend Leigh Sports Hub on a weekly basis.
Leigh Sports Hub are renowned for hosting fantastic sessions and activities of their own, from children’s birthday parties, school holiday sports camps, girls and women’s football sessions and men’s football leagues. Getting to Leigh Sports Hub:
If you are attending an event or matchday at Leigh Sports Hub, home of Leigh East ARLFC, please ensure that you use Car Park 1. Ledgard Avenue is reserved exclusively for residents, staff, and Leigh East Club officials. All other attendees must park in Car Park 1 which is at the rear of our facilities.
Accessing Car Park 1:
- Enter the site via Sale Way
- Turn left onto Turner Way (by the Whistling Wren pub)
- Car Park 1 will be located on your left.
From Car Park 1, you can follow the footpath to Entrance A for events and matchday access on evenings/ weekends. All Daytime bookings during the week, please continue to park in Car park 1 and enter the building via Entrance B. Please find our internal map below:
