In partnership with Nite Out Promotions, Leigh Sports Village is delighted to be hosting a charity dinner in aid of the Make A Wish Foundation – with none other than 1980s pop legend Sonia headlining an evening of music, food and comedy on October 14th.

Sonia shot to fame in 1989 when her Stock, Aitken & Waterman single You’ll Never Stop Me From Loving You went to No.1. Subsequently she enjoyed a string of Top 20 hits including Can’t Forget You, Listen To Your Heart, You’ve Got A Friend and Only Fools (Never Fall in Love).

Alongside Sonia will be special guest Nathan Moore, from fellow 1980s stars Brother Beyond. Like Sonia, their finest moment came courtesy of hit factory Stock, Aitken & Waterman, with The Harder I Try reaching No.2 in 1988.

Your host for the evening, which includes a three course meal, is Adam Moss, the Bafta-nominated actor and comedian who has appeared in everything from EastEnders to Miss Marple.

This very special evening concludes with the chance to dance the night away to even more 1980s hits!

About the Make A Wish Foundation

We exist for one reason – to grant magical wishes to enrich the lives of children and young people fighting life-threatening conditions.

Whether it’s starring in their own films, walking with dinosaurs, going on an amazing holiday, meeting a celebrity hero, or having a life-changing bedroom makeover; our wishes are varied, personal and, most importantly, magical.

We go above and beyond to grant very special wishes to very special children; their dreams made a reality at a time when they need it most.

Because a child’s life shouldn’t be about illness, hospitals and diagnosis – it should be about wonder, joy and hope.

We’ve seen the effects a wish can have on a seriously ill child: from creating incredible memories, building confidence and bringing happiness, to providing respite from the daily struggles that come with a life-threatening condition.

We know what wishes can give, and this is the driving force behind why we continue to do what we do.

But we can’t make these life-changing experiences happen without the generosity of people attending events like this.
