Leigh Sports Village provides state of the art facilities for sport, education, physical activity, health, leisure and culture and serves the local community and the region as a whole, and includes: sports pavilion and floodlit grass and 3G artificial sports pitches, athletics stadium, sports centre, sixth-form college, high quality hotel, retail outlets, bars, restaurants and a 12,000 capacity stadium.

The stadium is a multi-million pound complex with state of the art high quality facilities and is the home for Leigh Centurions, Manchester United Women and Manchester United U23s. The Stadium also hosts a number of events which have included rugby league international matches, Championship Finals Day, and was a venue for the Rugby League World Cup 2013. Elton John and Lionel Richie have also both performed hugely successful concerts.

Duty Manager

Salary £18,950 – £22,302 (full-time – 37hrs/week)

Your primary role will be to ensure the effective, efficient and safe operation of the sports arena and outdoor sports pitches whilst supporting the Senior Duty Manager in satisfying the requirements of Leigh Sports Village Company’s Strategic and Business Plans.

Close partnership working with both professional and amateur clubs will be an integral part of the job.

Previous experience within a similar role is essential along with the possession of a recreation qualification, such as ISRM / ILAM or NVQ Level 3 or equivalent (alternatively candidates must demonstrate an equivalent level of skills and experience).

The position will include evening and weekend work and will be subject to an Enhanced Disclosure Barring Service Check.

Hospitality and catering staff

We are currently looking for staff to join our catering team. We need food service staff, bar staff (minimum age of 18), Kitchen porters and public catering match day staff. We can offer shifts on both match days and non-match days, with both daytime and/or evening shifts available.

If you have an outgoing personality, are able to work under pressure and have excellent customer care skills, you could be the person we are looking for.
