Leigh Sports Village provides state of the art facilities for sport, education, physical activity, health, leisure and culture and serves the local community and the region as a whole, and includes: sports pavilion and floodlit grass and 3G artificial sports pitches, athletics stadium, sports centre, sixth-form college, high quality hotel, retail outlets, bars, restaurants and a 12,000 capacity stadium.

Conference and Event Co-Ordinator

Leigh Sports Village are looking for an experienced conference and events co-ordinator. You will be responsible for the co-ordination of conference and events including weddings and private parties. You will be responsible from the initial inquiry, generating the proposal and successfully communicating the client requirements to the operations team, while ensuring excellent customer service at all times.

The successful candidate will support the sales & marketing manager in the overall running of the department in order to meet budgetary targets and ensure all weekly billing is accurate and prepared within set deadlines.

Previous experience within a similar role, good organisational skills, the ability to identify and solve problems and excellent interpersonal skills are essential.

Casual Recreation Assistant

Your primary role will be to assist in the operation of the Sports Arena including the 3G sports pitches and grass pitches to ensure the effective, efficient and safe operation of the facility. This will include the erection and dismantling of sports equipment, cleaning duties and to assist with reception duties.

We seek people who preferably have previous experience within a sport and leisure related field with an ambition to bring the benefits and enjoyment of sports and leisure to the community as a whole.

Coaching experience is preferred to help with the delivery of our holiday activity programme and children’s sport themed parties.

Successful candidates will also need to be highly motivated, have excellent communication and people skills, and be able to work under their own initiative and also as a member of a team. Candidates need to be a minimum of 18 years or older.
