From grassroots participation at Leigh Sports Hub to the electric matchday atmosphere of Manchester United Women fixtures, LSV offers something for everyone. Whether you’re looking to play, develop your skills, or simply enjoy watching top quality football, our facilities provide accessible and inclusive opportunities for all ages and abilities.

Manchester United Women’s and U21’s Matches:

Leigh Sports Village is the proud home of Manchester United Women. Many of the Manchester United Women’s squad have represented England at International level, so it is a pleasure to have such an established and iconic brand with world renowned players make their home at LSV. In partnership with Manchester United Foundation, on a Women’s Super League home match, young fans can take part in a free 90-minute football skills session delivered by foundation coaches. These skills sessions run on Leigh Sports Hub’s MUGA (Multi Use Games Area) behind the Whistling Wren pub, adjacent to car park 1. It’s the perfect way for young people to get active before experiencing the excitement of live football.

LSV also hosts Manchester United U21s, showcasing some of the brightest young talent in the game. Stars such as Alejandro Garnacho and Scott McTominay have previously played here, making it a great opportunity to see future first team players up close. With tickets available from just £1 for children and £3 for adults, it’s one of the most affordable ways to experience high level football in the region, in a family friendly atmosphere.

Girls and Women’s Football:

Leigh Sports Hub, Home of Leigh East ARLFC, has an impressive range of facilities including 9x 3G pitches, a full-sized grass pitch and a MUGA (Multi Use Games Area). All our team across the Sports Village are committed to growing the women’s game and creating inclusive opportunities for young players, and Leigh Sports Hub is no exception. In association with the FA’s ‘Empower Her’ project, every Wednesday our team collaboratively deliver a ‘Kick Like a Girl Session’ 7pm-8pm. This free football session is for girls aged 12-16 and follows a 4-week programme: 3 weeks of football activity at Leigh Sports Hub followed by 1 week of wellbeing sessions at Leigh Youth Hub. These sessions not only develop football skills but also build confidence, friendships and personal resilience in an empowering environment.

Men’s Football:

Leigh Sports Hub runs some of the most popular grassroots football leagues in Greater Manchester. Taking place every Monday and Wednesday from 7pm, our leagues feature three divisions, catering to a range of abilities, from competitive players to those simply looking for a weekly kickabout. Perfect for ages 18+, these leagues offer a great combination of competition, fitness, and social football in a welcoming environment.

Football Tournaments:

Leigh Sports Hub also has a strong reputation for delivering well organised football tournaments, for both youth and open age teams. This summer, we’re excited to host a World Cup themed 6-a-side tournament on Saturday 4th July. Teams will be randomly assigned a nation to represent, creating a fun and competitive atmosphere.

Live World Cup Evenings:

Nothing brings fans together quite like international football and at LSV, we’re creating unforgettable matchday experiences for the community. This year, the stadium are hosting three World Cup evenings, where we will be showing England’s group stage fixtures. The first event will take place on Wednesday 17^th June from 7pm, where guests can enjoy our Live DJ for an unbeatable atmosphere, pie, peas, chips and gravy with a pint of their choice for just £12 per person. From exclusive drinks discounts to a top-tier atmosphere celebrating our national team, our event will be something to remember!
