Betfred Super League action returns to Leigh Sports Village today (29th May 2017, 4pm kick off) as Leigh Centurions take on Castleford Tigers. A huge crowd is expected and this is a fixture not to be missed, with match day information as below.

In order to secure the ticket area of your choice and to avoid congestion at the Ticket Office in the immediate period leading to kick off, supporters are strongly advised to purchase their tickets in advance of match day where possible.



Any supporters who have pre-purchased their match tickets and have been advised to collect them will be able to do so from any window at the LSV Ticket Office from 9am on the day of the game. Corporate ticket collections will take place from the Media College (situated to the left hand side of Main Reception).


We don’t want you to miss a moment of Betfred Super League action so please arrive at Leigh Sports Village with plenty of time to sample the pre-match atmosphere. Supporters with tickets for The Holland’s Pies North Stand should be aware that there are turnstiles open at both ends of the stand.


For this fixture, Castleford Tigers supporters will be situated in the South Stand, which is to the right of the main Kingstone Press West Stand at Leigh Sports Village. Seats are behind the posts on an unreserved basis, with Castleford Tigers supporters able to buy their tickets via the avenues above or alternatively enter via Turnstile 6 on a cash only basis from 3pm.

Turnstiles are open at 3pm. Catering kiosks serve a variety of hot and cold snacks along with hot beverages and both soft drinks and alcoholic beverages. Kiosks close 20 minutes after the start of the second half.

As always, traffic congestion is expected around the stadium and supporters are advised to allow extra time in their journey. However, should you miss the kick off then there are ‘late gates’ situated in each stand which will be open until the end of the first half. These turnstiles are turnstile 19 (The Holland’s Pies North Stand) and turnstiles 1 and 23 (Kingstone Press West Stand).



There is a limited amount of on-site parking available at Leigh Sports Village, all free of charge. Access to these car parks is via Sale Way, situated directly off A579 Atherleigh Way, with stewards on hand to direct cars where necessary.

Free car parking is also available at Leigh RUFC, situated 15-20 minutes’ walk from the stadium. The clubhouse will be open for business, with the facility to pre-book a car parking space at

Free car parking is also available at Leigh Cricket Club on Beech Walk.

There are also numerous pay and display car parks situated in Leigh town centre, approximately 10-15 minutes’ walk from the stadium.

All approaches to the stadium and town centre, in particular A579 Atherleigh Way and A580 East Lancashire Road, are expected to be busy and supporters are advised to allow extra time for their journey.

For those travelling by public transport, Leigh bus station is situated in the town centre and is served with regular connections from Manchester, Bolton, Wigan, Warrington and St. Helens. Leigh bus station is a 10 minute walk from the stadium.


The nearest train stations are Atherton (4.2miles), Newton-le-Willows (5.3miles) and Wigan North Western on the West Coast mainline (7.9miles).




The Legends Bar (situated at the front of the Kingstone Press West Stand) will be open from 1.30pm, serving a range of soft drinks and alcoholic beverages and will also be open after the game. From around 2.30pm, supporters will have the opportunity to purchase club merchandise while compere Clive Render will be hosting the regular match day quiz.


There are also catering kiosks available in each stand which will be open from 3pm, serving a variety of hot and cold snacks along with hot beverages and both soft drinks and alcoholic beverages. Kiosks close 20 minutes after the start of the second half.


For Leigh Centurions fans in The Holland’s Pies North Stand, please be aware there is now a bottle bar for the 2017 season on the concourse towards the East end of the stand.


Please note that no food and drink is to be brought into the stadium. If you have any specific dietary or medical requirements please speak to a steward prior to entry.




Club merchandise will be on sale from 2pm until kick off from the Kukri trailer located opposite the Ticket Office, with all of the latest club merchandise available to purchase.




We would like to kindly remind all supporters that, in line with government legislation, smoking is not permitted anywhere within Leigh Sports Village Stadium. This also includes the use of e-cigarettes.


We would also like to remind supporters that unfortunately there is no re-admittance to Leigh Sports Village Stadium, should any supporter wish to exit the stadium in order to smoke.


We appreciate the cooperation of all supporters regarding this matter.



Following the recent events in Manchester and recommendations made by security services Leigh Sports Village has undertaken a review of security measures and will be operating a more stringent search on entry to the stadium. We ask that spectators assist the security team and Leigh Centurions in this operation and where possible please refrain from bringing any unnecessary bags to the ground.

Due to bag and body searches entry to the stadium may take longer than normal, and we therefore ask spectators to arrive early to allow time for access to the venue. Thank you in advance for your patience and understanding.

Also please be aware that due to recent incidents it has been agreed between LSV and Leigh Centurions that drinks will be decanted in the North Stand.

Leigh Sports Village Company would like to reassure supporters that the Leigh Sports Village Stadium continues to be a safe venue for visitors, and there is no specific information to suggest there is a threat to members of the public attending.
