COVID-19 Updates at Leigh Sports Village

Following the ‘Plan B’ measures announced by the Government on 8th December 2021 to manage the spread of COVID-19 and its newest variants, LSV Stadium are outlining the upcoming changes and how they will impact upon events at the venue within the forth coming weeks.

The key points from the announcement for business events is as follows:

  • From Friday 10 December: Face coverings are not required in hospitality venues where food and drink are consumed (such as pubs, cafés, and restaurants), or during exercise (such as gyms), including dancing (such as nightclubs). However, face coverings must be worn in communal areas of the premises not being used for the event, such as in a toilets and reception areas.
  • From Monday 13 December: Those who can, are advised to work from home.
  • From Wednesday 15 December: Subject to parliamentary approval, the NHS Covid Pass on the NHS App will become mandatory for entry into unseated indoor events with 500 or more attendees, unseated outdoor events with 4,000 or more attendees and any event with 10,000 or more attendees. Guests must be able to demonstrate proof of two vaccine doses via the app or a negative lateral flow test before entry is permitted.

As our event capacity does not exceed the above, events hosted are unaffected and will therefore remain as Plan B announcement, therefore no changes to the requirements, as detailed above.

Additional information: –

The wearing of face masks is at guests’ discretion for all forthcoming hospitality events and is not a mandatory requirement. For your peace of mind, all LSV staff will be wearing face masks during all Christmas Party events.

We ask that ALL guests follow the latest safety requirements and advice, and do not attend the venue if told to isolate or experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19, even if these symptoms are mild. We also recommend that every guest undertakes a lateral-flow test before attending their event.

As always, we will be implementing high safety standards as priority throughout. We have enhanced cleaning protocols in place, good ventilation throughout all rooms and readily available hand sanitiser and handwashing facilities.

We are well-versed in providing a safe but enjoyable environment for all guests, and we’re looking forward to seeing you soon for an unforgettable Christmas night.

Match Day Information

In line with current Government regulations, please note that face coverings are compulsory in all indoor areas of the stadium, including all toilets and concourse areas along with the approach to the turnstiles but will not be required to be worn when in the stadium bowl. Vaccine certification is not required, but we would advise spectators to undertake a lateral flow test at home before attending the stadium and to not attend if you are suffering from any symptoms of Covid-19.

Merry Christmas and all the best for 2022 from all the team at LSV.
