Customer Relations & Box Office Manager

Salary Guide: circa. £30k, Full time: 40 hours

Leigh Sports Village is a pioneering multi-sector development and is now one of the finest sporting hubs in the Northwest. The Sports Village provides state of the art facilities for sport, education, wellbeing, leisure and culture and serves the local community and the region as a whole.

The stadium is at the heart of the complex which is home to Leigh Leopards Rugby League Club, Manchester United Women’s and Manchester United’s U23s football teams. The stadium hosts mainstream concerts such as Elton John & Lionel Richie and major sporting events. In 2022 the Sports Village also hosted both the UEFA Women’s European Football Championships and Rugby League World Cup.

We are looking for a committed individual with a passion for sports stadia and the leisure industry with the drive to make a real difference. As Customer Relations & Box Office Manager you will join our Management Team reporting to the Stadium Operations Director.

You will oversee the day-to-day management of the stadium ticket office taking overall responsibility for the ticketing operation across all stadium events. You will manage the training, performance and development of the Ticket Office staff (one full-time, five casual) and manage the staffing rota to ensure the smooth operation of the department.

Your role is key, working in partnership with Leigh Leopards and Manchester United for ticketing set-up, administration, customer care and data requirements for all fixtures, liaising with partners, opposition clubs and internal departments as necessary and attending relevant planning meetings to provide up-to-date reporting figures. You will be required to report on sales and payment methods so must have some knowledge of reporting financial information.

You will need to be proactive, organised and be able to work to deadlines and be accountable for your work.  You must be ticketing focused and have the ability to work effectively with key stake holders.

The successful applicant will have a proven track record of managing a ticketing function ideally in sport, a large arena or entertainment venue and hold Maths and English GCSE (A-C grade or equivalent).

You must be able to operate to a flexible working pattern that fits in with the needs of the business with the expectation you will be available to work for all stadium fixtures (primarily Leigh Leopards, Manchester United Women and Manchester United U21s) along with any other applicable events. These fixtures take place primarily at weekends but also occasionally evenings and Bank Holidays, with any applicable match day hours included within your working week.
